Kicking of on the new release for Iaito, radare2 was already updated a few weeks ago, now Iaito and r1ghidra have been updated also, all up to version 6.0.8.
Scribus updated to 1.6.5, did a local build for 1.7.2-dev which went fine with boost1.90.0, poppler25.12 and Qt6.11.0-beta1, performance is slow though, so not going to release that one just now.
I took the chance to enable Exult Studio (an Ultima VII game data editor) as well and made a separate package for it and for Exult’s command-line tools, which aren’t needed if you just want to play the game.
Small note: they both use the same icon. Would be neat to have a custom Haiku icon for each of them someday (an ankh, obviously )
So far from testing here I saw a video that our daughter send me, played sound, can send text messages, no camera found here (not looking for that myself), and didn’t test audio messages, although it gave me the opportunity to do so. Pretty good all in all there, thanks again @MichaelPeppers !
Took two tries to reach my account, but once it did, it works perfectly.
Interestingly, it is registered with Whatsapp as a linked device called “Google Chome (Linux)”. Not a big deal, but months down the line, the user might delete that inadvertently.
The collection comes with 197 activities, including 2 new ones: “Drawing wheels”, an activity for drawing with a gear rotating in a cogwheel; and “Multiple choice questions”, an activity that can be enabled through GCompris-teachers.
