A design like this for the DVD maybe? (Maybe as a template?)
I don’t need help with the design. I have the design files we used for the previous releases, the DVD will be similar, the sleeve needs some changes because it’s a different shape.
I’ll work on it this weekend after I improve svg import in wonderbrush.

SVG import is now fixed (I reused some patches I had made earlier in Icon-O-Matic) but now the save panel is broken for some reason (while it works in the latest released version of Wonderbrush). So, there will be more debugging. And I lost two hours of work because I didn’t notice immediately.

With pressed DVDs, or with DVD-R? I’d be interested in getting a pressed DVD, but DVD-R not so much.
I will do pressed DVDs. That means I’m ordering 300 and hoping I can distribute them all and not be left with a box of outdated disks again.

I ordered 1000 DVDs for Beta 1, that was a bit over-ambitious, but also fosdem and other in-person events were cancelled in the following years, which put the “sell the dvd at conferences” option to a stop.
But based on that experience and the votes, I think distributing 300 this time should be fine.
I wasn’t the one doing physical media for the alpha releases, but I think it was some kind of “print/burn on demand” service without inventory?

It seems I only have the Alpha 1 disc from Cafepress.
If shipping to Austria is ok I would take one with the Beta 6 disc.
So, after a little bit of fighting with Wonderbrush and Haiku bugs (which turned out to be my mistake for one, and already fixed for the other), here is what I have so far. What do you think?

The concept art is pretty good. I would go for a more like a mix of a modern retroish style but that’s just me i mean, it’s still pretty good
I think I like the B in Beta better as loewrcase. Otherwise, looks pretty good!

I agree, I stand corrected, as it was in lowercase in previous release too, and indeed it looks more weird in uppercase than lowercase.
Overall @PulkoMandy I looks very good to me. I guess you go the dual discs case, right?
In the text part, “is quite unique: The project consists…” I think it should be a lowercase “the project”.

The look is just good!
No lowercase “B”, why? For what reason?
Beta or beta? First correct, later just wrong!
All visuals about previous betas were using lowercase, continuing on the “alpha” using lowercase.
In the end, it doesn’t really matter that much anyway.
