What beta3 features should be highlighted in the release notes?

Highly suggest pushing for Mesa 21 for Beta 3.

It’s known issues are not fixed yet.

The situation with mesa21 hasn’t changed for weeks, and it wasn’t working well enough to put it in the nightly, so don’t really see it getting put into the release.

Under the known issues section, should we also put a simple link to the bug tracker? It would be handy in my opinion. That way someone could really dig into the known issues\limitations.

My faves in order:

  • Updated network drivers and USB 3 drivers, Intel_Extreme and NVIDIA drivers - the more hardware support, esp for newer hardware, the better. Makes Haiku easier to adopt on cheap modern hardware, and improves its viability as a “daily driver”, which is a Haiku quest of mine (that hasn’t quite happened yet, tho it is getting closer).
  • WebPositive improvements - faster, more stable, wider support
  • Support for SD/MMC readers on the PCI bus (SDHCI) - useful for creatives and future Pi tinkering - sometimes it is the little things that count.
  • Ability to resume system/app updates (yay to robust updates!)
  • Stability and compatibility improvements to MediaPlayer - about time! It looks nicer, too, IARC
