Thanks man! I tried the basic functions through the entire image conversion cycle. Everything seems to work fine, I haven’t tried all possible functions, only the main ones.
(When running the program on Linux, CPU usage across all cores reaches almost 100%. And of course, image processing takes significantly less time.)
And yes, when shutting down the app, it throws an error (I can add debug report, if it needed)
Of course, after saving a scantailor project, it cannot be run through the tracker, only from the scantailor program window — and that’s fine.

It looks like it needs some massaging - it saves its configs in the current directory, which is not going to work in an hpkg. Perhaps someone with better skills can look at it. I compiled it with a straightforward cmake && make
seems like a config problem or something about that

I know you’ve ported Endless Sky. It starts up fine, I can enter pilot name, and I purchase a ship, modify it, but when I get into space, the arrow keys do nothing (eg. no acceleration / steering).
-Does this work on your end ?
(ES has been updated since the build for Haiku, there’s been quite a lot of additions).
I’ve tried to port that before, but our Go implementation and/or my Go porting skills weren’t up to it.
Shouldn’t be too hard to replicate in another language, though.

EDIT: noticed the same behaviour, couldn’t control the aircraft, looks like none of the key bindings are working, needed to kill the process also. I’ll try to see if an update could fix some things for it.

I’ve attempted to make a .recipe file for 0.11.0, but failed miserably. ![]()
Note: I got the Raspberry Pi 4B build rule into Endless-Sky, and made a build-script for that, so people can build and run it on a 32-bit Raspi.
Maybe it’s not too much work to get an official Haiku build into Endless Sky; I’m just not experienced enough with building open-source on+for Haiku.
What I’m concerned about is the following:
- folder names and locations … I think –prefix will help out fixing this.
- libraries (they’re likely designed for Linux and would perhaps also need special attention)
In the beginning, it’d only be necessary to make a x86-build, but at some point, it’d need to be extended to include armv7 and aarch64 (they’re special on the Pi, because of atomicity, so there could likely be a difference on Haiku too).
… Apart from that; what I saw of 0.10.4 running on my system, it was pretty smooth; is OpenGL software or hardware in the endless-sky port ?
Edit: The build-system for 0.11.0 has changed since 0.10.4; it’s now mainly using the CMake* files for building.
There’s no “guessing a host system”, this has to be done in CMakePresets.json.
-That’s probably where most of the updating has to be done.
