That one is already in the depot (although maybe outdated atm)

Looking into it, build finishes OK, just have to check some install paths etc before I can actually test this.
Wow, that was quick. I’ve been working a little on making some proof-of-concept code for Genio; it still need a little more work in order to do what I promised, but it shouldn’t take too long.

I don’t know if this is possible, but I found out there’s a open source steam client so getting steamed to run a haiku could be possible

I visited website few hours ago, it seems 8.1 that is in the tube. Perhaps it would help.
Looking at repology and their GH releases 0.8.0 is the latest around (haven’t seen any (pre)release for 8.1 yet).

I came across this today. Above my pay grade, sorry, but the idea of an alternative lightweight native windowing system is intriguing.

It’s not really an alternative windowing system as it uses native windowing systems as backend. I would rather say that it is just another toolkit but with no dependencies.
I don’t really see the need for Haiku except perhaps to get rid off dependencies of ported apps.
