What font sizes do you use?
In my screenshot at 1920×1080, I set the font sizes to 16 point, the icons are 48 pixels and the Tracker icons on the deskbar are 32 pixels.
I also scaled the SVG version of the Haiku logo in the backdrop to 200% of its original size using WonderBrush.

How do you get the spaces in-between your DockBert tabs transparent?
Actually, you can’t. You’re simply tinting the border of the same colour of your background.
You can do that picking the colour up with Colors app and dropping it on Dockbert border.

That is a nice desktop. The colors work well together!
it seems more easy to get these effects than Unix-like system which need conky application.

That was a joke… I was never able to keep the icons so tidy even with that.

On my VM running 32bit R1 beta 5 it looks very chaotic when doing cleanup because long filenames overlap.
EDIT:
It would be useful to add shorten if the filename is too long.
