Rescued this little heavy guy from a garage and was so happy, to see Haiku Nightly running live and perfectly smooth from stick. (Including network, video, audio, bluetooth …)
But after installing on a dedicated drive i stuck always on the fourth icon, no matter which fancy save boot options i choose or not? And there are no extra cards or gadgets installed in this machine. I found no similar topics in the forum but perhaps another MacPro5.1 user can help?
Fourth icon is the boot disk, so maybe it has some problems with the drive? I’m unsure of how to debug this, but I would probably try onscreen output if that gives any clues. In any case this would be worth a ticket
I’ts outdated but I guess the step 10 refers to your problem, the solution it’s to force VESA mode reboot in Haiku.
Please read the mini-tutorial and happy hacking.
The only solution i’ve found is to “Disable IDE DMA” at booting. That works!
Without he throws an endless loop of error messages like these:

ata 0 error: RecoverLostInterrupt: lost interrupt, status 0x50
