Iceweasel: This icon, or that icon, or

I have a variant of the native icon optimized for size (only 1.6 kb).

If anything, the source files in IOM format are here:

A new version in which the outlines of the continents are taken from the WebPositive icon.

It’s just looking in the opposite direction ))))

It’s Schrödinger’s eye. When it’s there, the weasel looks to the side, when it’s not there, she looks away from us

Or she’s winking at us, the little minks.

I like it for solid surface and bold obvious outline. But I am afraid that Mozilla Corp claims this an infringement as it resembles their past logo.

They have rights on some color variations.

Nice. Sharing globe icon with WebPositive is fun. Like GNOME Web shares its surfboard with WebPositive.

So my preference is v4.

I imagine v5 coloring expresses something ice. How about more vivid blue ocean and white continents like

I love it! :+1:

I love this one too.

It would be cool if discourse could handle hvif images.

The thing is that webkit cannot render HVIF, and apart from that we don’t have any patches for discource iirc

Thank you for creating icons based on Debian’s artwork for my concern. But others loves your former suggested icon. I’m OK to incorporate the former one.

I like the way the icon of GNU IceCat is designed. It reminds the original Firefox icon, but it’s also original enough to not raise a trademark infringement claim. If there’s ever a complain from Mozilla then we can modify the icon in a similar manner by putting the weasel into a different position of the globe (e.g. on top of it).

Just keep in mind that the weasel has a short tail and is white in winter, and brown with a white belly in summer.

weasel in winter

So Iceweasel without tail:

…The weasel doesn’t wrap its tail around you…
