Hi, i prefer icon v4.
With eye and black tip at its tail I like this most!
It also has pinkish paws, ears, and nose - maybe that could be made use of. And it has a long body, so its body would almost fit right round the globe - instead of the bushy tail.
It turns out there are species of weasels (in America) with longer and fluffier tails:
It is noteworthy that the tip of its tail is black, even in winter.
There is also a relative of the weasel, the stoat:
So, if the depicted weasel has a longer tail (and fluffier), it must have a black tip. If it has a short tail, it must be all white.
And black whiskers too.
That picture of the stoat has a sense of fun about it. Why not have the stoat run-jumping over the top of the globe?
In the small picture, it will be unclear what is depicted there.
The icon should match the semantics of the global web browser symbol. The semantics of the icons of the most popular web browsers is obvious: flying/traveling around the world.
Lower left I like.
I think we should use this nicer logo because itâs less surprising for users. âI was looking for Firefox and instead I got a joke and an ugly icon.â
Google also not very surprised: NightlyFox - Google Zoeken
As good as it may be (in someoneâs opinion), the final decision lies with the makers of this or any other Firefox port.
We cannot use it without Mozillaâs permission, itâs not different from the usage of the official Firefox icon.
And can we change the colors of the icon? Should we use an older Firefox icon or some alternative Firefox icon?
On the other hand, itâs still a Firefox Nightly build, so we canât use the original icon for it?
If there are some limitations to disabling telemetry by default, but the user can easily disable it, so it can be left on. No problemo.
Anyway, âIceWeaselâ says âNightlyââŠ
Or how about this icon it looks more professional than the iceweasel icon from debian.
+1 from me. This icon looks good.
I like that one! Though Wikipedia doesnât have the latest version of it, which has a little bit more icy colors, and a bit bigger weasel:
Almost any usage of the icons created by Mozilla requires their written permission. Obviously that includes any derivative work like changing the colors. The list of trademarked icons is here: List of Mozilla Trademarks
There no old logos in the official list, can we use them?
Also there are alternative icons for Firefox, some of them open source:
Fore example this one has svg version:
(Icon-o-matic opens it fine)

For âIcefoxâ icon colors should be tweaked.
For âNightlyfoxâ icon colors can be tweaked.
For âHaikufoxâ icon colors can be fine.
And so on.
