Whoa! Is that an entirely 3D printed faceplate on that case?!? I’d thought it was a real BeBox! Amazing! We gotta do something like this for Haiku! But what would be the color scheme? What would the case faceplate look like? We gotta do this! You know it!
Great work! Looks very nice
Fantastic work! Congrats!
Yes … the case is printed in resin in 4 pieces, joined together and then painted (2 coats of base, 2 coats of color and two coats of transparent) … if you scroll through the photos you see the model of prototype that I had made to make corrections of the measures … maybe have a real bebox in my hands … for what concerns haiku I can tell you that I have no graphic skills … I only took the STL model and I adapted it to the PC case I had … for which to do something from scratch, I would not really have the skills
I’m guessing it has working blinkenlights?
certainly they work
Mine were broken when I go the bebox. But I was lead to believe they could be turned in some way, and that was why there was only one hole. Wither way, they clipped on and seem to have been quite fragile.
obviously since it is a replica, I made it in a personal way … so the caps are glued and to access the inside just open a side panel … I don’t think I will ever remove the top caps
Hello everyone … I introduce myself after almost 10 months to show you that the replica made by me (also thanks to the help of many of you) has made a fine show of itself in an exhibition created by my association … .what to say … seeing a bebox next to silicon graphics are satisfying
After almost a year I decided to mount in a video all the photos that portray, step by step, the assembly of my replica of the bebox starting from the STL files found on the net up to the grand finale … enjoy it !!! !!
We so need to create a case like this for Haiku!
@Luposian I’d like to help you but I don’t know how to model the graphics with fusion360 … I found the STLs on the net for my project, and I had them modified by a friend … but honestly I don’t know how to help you
