But you’re right,it’s really a great service that offers so many features without ads and tracking,all for free.
And it’s perfectly compatible with the native Beam Mail app.

Don’t forget you need to go to Yearly Email Account Subscription - BeOS City to be able to send internet mail (to prevent spammers from abusing the service) when checking out you can choose the free payment method so you don’t have to pay.
His post got a bunch of new sign-ups

The software used is citadel, which is based on an old BBS system

The roadmap of Citadel indicates a ReST interface coming in the sequel, WebCit_NG. It looks nice!

I actually ran a citadel bbs on my amiga in the late 80’s.

Lucky! I didn’t get my first Amiga until 1993! Plus it was long distance calling to the nearest city so there wouldn’t have been much point in having a BBS out in the country.
