hello, my laptop (HP 620) fan doesn’t work in haiku, and it gets very hot after some minutes, which obviously causes very high CPU usage even when nothing opened.
i think this is because of ACPI, but i can’t be sure because when i try to disable ACPI in the boot menu, it gets stuck in boot process.
this problem (of course it) doesn’t happen in Linux.
so turns out the reason to why haiku doesn’t work was because of user add-ons, dunno which one is at fault, but it boots up fine with the ACPI and user add-ons options disabled, although the fan is bit noisy cause it’s working at medium all time, and also when i press the power button, instead of shutting down normally, it instead does a forced shutdown.
