Catkeys translators needed for 3rd party apps

I am doing an update to Einsteinium and need about 10 strings of my de.catkeys updated. Can anyone please help? Thank you in advance. The file is available here:

Also if anyone is willing to add additional catkeys I would sincerely appreciate your efforts.

If you want to build the apps to see where the strings are used run the src/build.sh script to compile the entire suite of applications.

I created a PR for the updated de.catkeys.

Einsteinium is listed in the top post as needing more translations. The en.catkeys links pointed to the “master” branch, though, while you’re working in version branches (currently v1.4.0). I’ll have the links point to ‘v1.4.0’ now. Maybe you could give me a heads-up when you start a new branch and the links hace to be adjusted.

Maybe I add a big, red “Updates needed” for those catkeys that do exist but need some changed strings re-translated…

I merged v1.4.0 back into master now so the links can be changed back. I’ll wait a few days and see if there are any pull requests for new catkeys, then release 1.4.0 and update the haikuports recipe.

Updated Ukrainian for BurnItNow 1.2: http://sprunge.us/JSSL
On the release of the new version it would be nice to warn at least a day before it appeared.

Thanks very much for the updated catkeys!

I’m not sure how to more effectively ask for updated/new catkey translations. I’ve added the “Update needed” tag to BurnItNow on Oct 31 and for Weather on Nov 19. I’m also spamming the #haiku IRC channel since then…

You seem to have missed the translation for “Reading in WAV files…”.

Here, the corrected file - http://sprunge.us/UPNT
This is not a disappeared translations.
In the German language file, there is also no translation of these lines. I checked, when translated, with a German file. And I thought that these lines were not specially translated as lines 18-24. If lines 18-24 instead of English insert any non-English words, then the program will not be able to erase RAW-disks.

I didn’t notice this. You’re right, it wouldn’t have worked if those blank mode were translated. I have improved the code and they could now actually be translated…
I opted not to for the German translation, because a meaningful translation would be too wordy. And by leaving it in English, the user can consult the man page of cdrecord or search the internet, because he wouldn’t find my translated blank modes there.

Thanks for letting me know!

Updated Ukrainian for Weather - http://sprunge.us/dYNK
I have now built for myself your last Weather from the sources on GitHub. To test it and check my translation.
I’ll not announce, but the future new Weather I really liked!
Very, very cool!

I only did a few icon tweaking. Janus did the majority of the work, making the networking more solid and giving us the fetching new transparent replicant.

In your translation, you missed the “Windy” condition. Always a good idea to check by setting the “Hide translated” checkbox in CatKeysEditor.

Thanks, I corrected the translation and updated the link to the uk.catkeys above.
CatKeysEditor currently does not work and displays a message at startup:

Thanks. The CatKeysEditor package in the http://eu.hpkg.haiku-os.org/haikuports/master/repository/x86_gcc2/current repo works.

The Ukrainian translation was ready more than a month ago. A new version of Weather was released, and the translation into it was never added. I wonder why?

There is the updated ‘es’ (spanish) translation for Weather:

As of today, Koder translations will be handled here: http://i18n.kacperkasper.pl/
There is GitHub login available, if there is demand I can add other providers.
Of course PRs are still accepted as well.

If you are a developer and want to use this system, contact with me though Private Messages or e-mail.

I’m slowly filling @KapiX’s brilliant new site with all the catkeys mentioned in this thread. ‘Slowly’, because I want to use the opportunity to test the site and file bugs/enhancements while doing it. (@KapiX: I know you’re low on time, but those issues don’t close themselves and patiently wait for you having more time ‘again’. :stuck_out_tongue:)

When finished, I’ll add a fat info box at the top of this thread to point people to “Polyglot” and close the thread.

Thanks, Kapix!
