Add system-wide proxy configuration support

Proxy would be very useful if:

  • One is from a country has restrict nework control (China, Iran etc)
  • The connection to the depot server is weak in one’s region
  • Special use, e.g a proxy server that filters unwanted network data, ads etc

Thanks for reply, it seems that ticket is quite old and gains no progress so far

There are quite a few issues that have been known for some time. As long as they are in Trac, they aren’t forgotten. They’re just waiting on someone with time to solve them. If not you, then who? If not now, then when?
