Would the BeOS Bible & other BeOS books be helpful for Haiku?

Like the title states, would the BeOS Bible & other BeOS books be helpful for Haiku? Are they close enough that reading the BeOS Bible for example will help a user better understand Haiku?

Yes. I am sorry I gave away my copy of the BB, all those years ago. Just keep in mind that while Haiku started out as an attempt to produce an exact copy of BeOS, changes have crept in here and there. Not complaining about that, there is just no need for that long list of obsolete 14400 modems, for example, but Haiku is well on its way to becoming more than BeOS.

Even so, the BB will give you a good idea of what is happening behind the scenes. And it is esier to read than source code :slight_smile:

All the Be Books are very useful for getting to know how to use and program Haiku. Some features are not fully supported, but most are.
