First step: I’ve got a first testing MP4 local video playing “fine” (with sound):
The contextual menu must be used for the moment, else the video is not displayed (black area until “play” is used).
I will need to investigate more 
EDIT: I didn’t test before but with the same patch youtube is OK (video very slow but sound is fine, and some crashes)
