qTox is C++ and uses Qt so there’s no reason why it couldn’t be ported. You just need to find a developer
However, haiku doesn’t have much webcam support
I think it’s just a matter of adding an isochronos mode in the USB 1 stack to get a webcam working.
Yeah, but this has been the status for a long time, and I don’t see a fix appearing any time soon.
It would be nice to have 1 webcam working.
I think there is one that works, I can’t remember which but it is very unusual (doesn’t need isochronos mode IIRC).
I think there is a wider issue than just Qt for getting this to work - I don’t know if qtox uses V4L (Video 4 Linux) as most linux webcams do, or if there is an abstraction layer in Qt, but this could mean more work.
However, it would be great to have a tox client that works just with audio and text TBH.
If you can track down that camcorder I would really like to test with it. And then we could test it with qTox
