I have a Thinkpad x1 carbon gen6 laptop, r1beta6 runs great mostly, however when I switch to ‘master’ branch and do a full-sync/reboot USB fails (was working fine in r1beta5/6 … Is there some work going on there?
I have since switched back to r1beta6 and USB works again.
Could you open a bug ticket and share in it any details on what/how do you assert “USB fails” ?

Nothing works on USB, no mouse,keyboard or USB drive. Dead.

No need to be a developer for that.
They will reply to your ticket, if necessary help you to gather meaningful information in order to, hopefully, identify the root cause of the defect (here, nothing connected to any USB ports do work?).
After that, fixing the big itself is another story, indeed.
As it seems to be a regression since beta 6, the quicker the change(s) responsible of that regression can be identified the easier it is to fix it.
Because with time people lose track of what happened and when…
