Trying to install on old Chromebook

I just tried to install Haiku on an older Chromebook, I got to the splashscreen, but then it just went to the boot menu, where I have Endeavour OS currently installed. I used Belena Etcher to write to USB, could that be the issue?
p.s. I actually bought BEos in the 90’s.

Balena Etcher is a fine product. I’ve flashed Haiku to USB with it dozens of times. Your problem may be that the BIOS is not set to boot from USB.
