Touchpad does not work

My touchpad works on windows and bios, but on Haiku my mouse is frozen in the middle, I haven’t installed yet but now I’m stuck in the try haiku after I used the keyboard to get to it. Any Fixes?

Unfortunately manufacturers are using different ways to wire touchpads. As result, some are working some are not. The workaround is to use an external mouse.
There is also a small utility named KeyCursor allowing to use keyboard keys to control the cursor but you have to install it before being stuck…

Not sure wot youre using but take a look at your F7 key…if its a touchpad function key (has a tiny icon) ensure its not off.

Try downloading latest nightly tomorrow or the day after (you need to wait until hrev58362 or superior becomes available). A change was just reverted AND that fixes touchpad for me and possibly others.

That feature is implemented on user space or, routed from WMI/EC to HID device through user space software. So in any case, that feature does not work on Haiku (not even Linux without specific software).

This happened to me when I was booting in EUFI mode, switching to legacy fixed it as well as my wifi issues.
