Taking a break

With all that has been going on lately I’m taking a break from haikuports, I’m not gone and will continue aiding in questions asked on IRC to my ability, but will restrict from doing work on reviewing or adding contributions there (maybe just the packages where I interact with upstream developers).

I’m sure the situation will reset itself as usual, I’ve been around for over 25 years and have seen situations like these in the past, and so far I’ve always been able to set these aside, but motivation has been dropping for a while now.

I will be back, can’t stay away too long because of the love for the OS and the joy I got from doing the ports and updates done over all these years. So don’t count me out just yet … just need to let some things sink in here.

You can lean back for some time whenever you feel like it. :slight_smile: And I’m sure you have good reasons.

Also sometimes passive phases create some productive idea or similar.

Thanks for all the years of work on HaikuPorts. So many of the packages I rely on every day exist because of you. Enjoy the break, you’ve earned it. Looking forward to having you back whenever you’re ready. <3 a presto grande Uomo!
