System Doesn't Boot

Uninstalled LibreWolf and now my system won’t boot. I’m making a USB stick, how can I fix my system? Just reinstall?

What exactly is happening? Do you get a white screen with black text? Or does booting stop on one of the icons? Can you boot using one of the safe mode options?

It says no boot drives found. I was able to boot off the Haiku USB stick. My drives are still there with data on them. I am able to see safe mode but it won’t boot from my SSD.

Whew! I made a backup about a week ago and just copied that over. All back up an running now.

I seem to have a package issue. “nothing provides ralink_wifi_firmwares>2015_02_11 needed by haiku-r1~beta5_hrev57937_129-1” About 700 times and suggests the deinstallation of every package.

Failed to open packages activation file.

Try running Installer and just do a fresh install of the core system files, which keeps your home directory intact.

I cleaned up the packages.

rm /boot/system/packages/administrative/transactions*
Then pkgman full-sync
Deleted the file activated-packages

Rebooted and all working. It was weird when I went to uninstall LibreFox and it wanted to remove a ton of packages. Trying to install packages from HaikuDepot would show error messages about packages being installed already.
