Stuck at rocket and shuts down after a while on laptop

I figured I’d repurpose an old laptop I have laying around and install Haiku on it, but when I pop the disc in, it goes through as normal… until it hits the leaf drive icon. It stays there a while, and then jumps to the rocket… where it gets stuck. After about 5 minutes on the rocket, the PC shuts down. Anyone know what’s going on here?

The device in question:
Dell Inspiron 8100
Intel Pentium 3M
nVidia GeForce 2 Go GPU
~512mb of RAM, DDR1

Try to enable Use fail-safe graphics driver option in the bootloader.
