Is it just me or is it so that a completely new bunch of developers have jumped on the BeOS wagon? Maybe it is thanks to Zetas accomplishments, maybe it’s people who suddenly found BeOS or maybe it’s because of the discomfort with the other OSs on the market.
No matter what, wouldn’t it be nice to write another status report of what is accomplished what needs help and what needs testing etc. I think that there might be a few extra resources (manpower) out there who would like to contribute assuming they just know where their efforts would be appreciated.
For instance, any pref apps left? are the list up to date? Whatabout drivers? Any crucial ones? How is the IDE replacement coming along… need people there? Whatabout AGP support, is that working? I hear there would be good to have some more VSTs on board or maybe that’s just app needs rather than Haiku needs.
Anyway I think an update from michael wouldn’t hurt. As well as an update on the organisational issue. Have donations given anything?
Think I’ve just got umccullough’s suggestion, think “kuBe” = “Cube”. I think that may be a bit too clever though - and sorry to have completely derailed the thread to talk about this
Anyway, I’m happy to see a newsletter finally… kudos to you all… but like someone noted on OSNews, an item about migration from CVS to SVN would’ve been nice… and not to mention an overall status update ofcourse. I get the feeling a whole bunch of things has happened, especially in the kernel… but where we’re at would’ve been nice. =)
anyway, I don’t wanna complain, I love to see progress in terms of code commits and that is better than news, but both owns =)
