Please provide a bit more context (i.e what you wish to discuss about this, what you thought interesting, what some of your questsions are about it etc), only sharing video urls is not so nice

Ok, this is essentially a remote desktop idea. A server lives on Haiku. A client lives in ubuntu, rendering the windows as they appear in Haiku, including the non-rectangle shape, with screen updates and keyboard / mouse support. I had some spare AI tokens at the end of the month to throw at it for fun.

Personally I think I’d use my own Haiku apps more if I could stay in a fully featured desktop. And just run them remotely. They look and feel like they do in Haiku but just interact nicely with all the other apps I run in Linux.

Ah, Well Haiku has something similar, but it’s not really a remote desktop in the “see what’s on another screen” way. Instead the app runs on Haiku but renders only on the remote screen. Currently we have a server implementation in html5, I’d assume maybe the linux haiku port could work as a server for Linux aswell if polished up and made available as a standlone application
