I am working on a voice processing program, however the original code that I wrote years ago use WAV. files. SoundRecorder years ago would create WAV. files. But the version for 64 bit Haiku seems to only produce PCM32 files that my software can not handled.
Is there a way to make it create 16 bit or 8 bit WAV. files? Stereo or mono does not matter.
Also while my I7 desktop recording works, my System76 laptop does not! I am using HD-Audio and if I try recording I get nothing. I tried installing OpenSound, but the SoundRecorder says there is no audio input.
Any help or suggestions. Note: I found a 32 bit HD-Audio that has a pref file, but there does not seem to be one in the 64 bit version.
