The thread title is incredibly misleading. Someone posted a suggestion to the linux kernel mailing list, norhing more. Their discussion is not even finished.

Linux is already using several automated code contribution systems, so itws not the hroject that I expect to be the most strongly against it.
Meanwhile in Haiku, there is a pull request to ban LLM assistants in the coding guidelines, most developers who tookpart in the discussion agree it should be banned, but some suggested to put it in the “policies” page instead, and there is no activity since. Another victory for bikeshedding 
Just put it in either or both then, Haiku is slow sometimes
