I just watched a video about a completely different topic, but then in the video they started to talk about Be. In case you are interested in the history of Be maybe you want to watch it.
The guy is terrific, he speaks at least 30% faster than a normal human, and at least 50 % faster than me. I am wondering how it could feel like to have a quick mind like his. In the meantime I am looking for a word in my mental dictionary to describe everyday topics, like catalisator. It would be great to be smart!
Here is the video: https://youtu.be/hgN8pCMLI2U?feature=shared
Be is mentioned around the middle and at the end.

dtrace was designed and implemented on a dead Be whiteboard
One whiteboard with 2/3 of Be’s BFS architecture in a permanent marker […] that thing was not out (free to take in the street) there 5 minutes before some guy drives past it, drives past it again, gets out and he’s reading it…
Somewhere in some basement there is this thing where it’s like
- “I’m giving away your whiteboard…”
- “Honey you can’t! You know the story behind that!”

The last anecdotes at the end is more known, it’s about why Be ended after JLG refused the price offered by Apple for Be Inc.
Here some more mentions of Haiku: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwAfJywzk8o around 12:50
