[SOLVED] New libcurl issue?

Since yesterday I’ve noticed on R1 Beta6 that WebPositive hang very quickly on any websites like below :

Looking at the latest packages installed, I suspect libcurl is having an issue.
Anyone else notice this issue ?

When I rollback the state to the day before the issue is resolved (however I don’t think I can downgrade libcurl).

Just learning how to downgrade package and I confirm :

I noticed that after updating my R1/beta6 VM install last night, curl was one of the updates. Now it takes a really long time to load sites like this forum in WebPositive compared to before the update. Somebody mentioned the same issue on the IRC channel.

I noticed it too. I’ve updated today and WebPositive feels really slow even when accessing localhost served by PoorMan.

It is even worse on 32bit nightly and Beta 6!

Can confirm the re-installing previous curl package also fixed the handling for the KDE frameworks script (updating local versions). With the new one the progress is really slow, with the old one it’s fast as usual.

Outdated script is still at haikuports:

I ended up writing a work around for my curl update checker codes this morning. But if it helps curl never crashed, it was hang on the easy_curl_cleanup thread. Maybe some one with more skills can write a quick debug app to capture some info.

Working directly with curl today and seeing indeed strangeness. Very slow to fail on downloads, etc.

Software Update now says "Refreshing repository “Haiku” failed after about a minute.

Update on curl from @korli fixed it here, should be good now.
