Updates and Fixes

  • Deskbar chevrons and menus open to the left if Deskbar is on the right. So now everything isn’t backwards.
  • Added Workspace transitional effects.
  • Some UI snaketrail fixes.
  • Fixed a bug that would cause the snake raised look to break when browsing directories.
  • Added option for user to add custom HVIF to the Deskbar Header
  • Deskbar Header icon resizes for horizontal modes if Deskbar size is increased.
  • Add more transitional effects.
  • Transitional effects are now in sync with hdesktop if you have that installed ( requires updating hdesktop )
  • Fixed a bug that would not show the Workspace system tray, and maybe crash Deskbar if Workspaces system tray was enabled.

Got a bug report here. I was able to reboot into an older hrev and make it work, but Tracker crashes on the latest version plus hrev. Sorry for the phone pictures. It is the latest snaketracker + the latest hrev, not sure whats changed in between but it doesn’t seem to like the lines in the file.

Thanks for reporting and sorry about the tracker/deskbar failure.

The crash is fixed now with the latest release.

No more rollbacks…

  • Snaketracker will now detect failures and load the stock Haiku Tracker and Deskbar when a problem like this happens in the furture.

There are tool tips in the settings ( right click desktop, select snaketracker settings ) for now. As far the Tracker features go, most things are common features in everyday file managers that probably don’t need a help document. Stuff like add to favorites however, is a drag and drop feature, is totally undocumented and not something a new user, or even a experienced user might know about unless a help document was added.
The app is a still in dev, so once all the dust clears and I’m done adding new stuff I can write a help doc.

is it possible to fix the scaling issue on snaketracker settings? currently it goes off the screen. i think its meant for 1920x1080 only but im on 1600x900 so is possible to fix?

@wzeyctfvgtgfrycthe2n just uploaded new hpkg files. The settings window should be much better now.
