The location is ‘/var/log/syslog’, so tail -f /var/log/syslog
Honestly, I’d go with @humdinger advice and just start over. It doesn’t sound like you’ve gotten very far with it, yet, so it’s the fastest and easiest solution. I would stay away from installing a Qt browser, and go with Web (also known as Epiphany) as it works much better than Falkon, anyway. And don’t use Transmission, because, well, we saw what happened with that, already.
Nah, that “tail -f” only prints out live what gets added to the syslog. In that short snippet above, I see nothing wrong or shutdown relted. I’m no expert though.
