Refind starts Haiku only in safe mode options

I managed to boot Haiku and Windows 10 via EFI and refind on my new notebook.

It is an Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9. Works very good with Haiku.

My efi setup:
efI_EFI
efI_EFI_Boot

The problem is:

Refind starts Haiku only in safe mode options, see below.

Note: the Haiku Boot volumes/states listed are from an USB stick I previously used. Both options do the same: boot the Haiku install on the ssd.

Has someone an idea what I can try in order to boot Haiku directly?

The most likely problems are:

  • that your haiku partition on your ssd does not have the right partition type. Make sure you set it to Haiku partition type (you may need to delete it and recreate it in BriveSetup for example - reformatting will not fix the partition type)
  • that you did not install the efi bootloader on the internal hard disk, so it is using the bootloader from the usb drive. Make sure you have copied the efi bootloader to the efi system partition.

Wow! Immediate success.
Deleting the partition - then format and a new install did the trick.
Thank you very much PulkoMandy for your help!
