It is about playing a CD from the CD drive without problems?
This isn’t merged into haikuports yet, when done, could someone move this to the topic new/updated* ?

That makes me think that it would be nice to add a custom station to Streamradio without having to manually edit attributes of an existing one. You can often get infos from other apps like Qmplay2 and now Qmmp; it’s a bit sad that we can’t take advantage of that. Perhaps a mission for @DigitalBox?
Sorry what is the question ?
Since StreamRadio stations are very similar to People app files and, you have shown some interest for editing attributes, I thought that you could find the idea of adding that feature (add a custom radio) to Streamradio challenging.
Not sure to get your point:
PLS files are considered as audio file (no new attributes)
And the stream’s link is in the content of the file (not in the attributes)
So editing the current attributes will only be relative to audio :

I’m talking about Station files that you can find in /home/config/settings/Stations, not about random audio files used by the station.
Not sure what you mean by random file, the file displayed in the screenshot above is from a a pls file created by StreamAudio and located in the settings folder you mention
Check with Tracker. Stations files are not “standard” pls files, they are more like people files with a pls in them. There are a lot of attributes describing the station, source, encoding, website, logo etc.
Is it something new ?
I don’t see any attributes relative to the website and so on
Maybe you can make a screenshot to give the details of what you are mentioning to understand.
Ok got it:
Not sure to understand why the “audio/x-scpls” FileType is not having these attributes, if they are used by StreamRadio application itself.
Because it’s not available in the Tracker nor in my attributes editor:)
Yes, they are used by StreamRadio.
Though, most of them are not really needed to have a working file.
Currently, the only way to add a station is to make a query in an internet database.
If you want to add a station that is not in database, you have to modify an existing station.
Every time, I end up modifying some attributes in Terminal, because there are relics from the original station. So, my idea was to allow user to add a station manually in StreamRadio.
Ok understood, the attributes editor I’m currrently working on is relying on the attributes defined in the Filetypes preferences application.
So a solution would be:
- to add all the attributes you would like to edit via Filetypes
- Use my editor to edit the StreamRadio station files
The editor is generic but some work is still remaining before doing a release.
I can do a showcase example if you are interested in it

This Version dont solve the CD playing problem…
You still have to copy the CD-Files to PC first!
Use ‘play CD’ and select tracks for playlist.
