Problems with r\beta5

I didn’t use Hailku longer time and before few days I upgraded to beta 6 and I have problems and I wanted to downgrade and was not so good.

I have on DVD beta 4 and I made new partitions and installed it than I upgrade with success to beta 5. But when I want to install Midnight Commander it complain that I need a library from beta 6 which is not available and I cannot installed and there are some apps with the same problem. It will be good to upgrade to beta 6, please?

I am still on the old HP laptop where shutdown doesn’t work but I like it anywhere :).

More info:

First WebPositive is not supported on the Forum.

When I checking for updates I got:

nothing provides haiku>=r1~beta6_hrev_5-1 needed by libxslt-1.1.45-2

…>=r1~beta6_hrev59866_53-1 needed by wpa_supplicant-2.12.haiku.01

there are more and one is also related to webpositive becasue nothing provides haikuwebkit>=1.9.14 needed for webpositive-r1beta5_hrev57937_129-1

and there are more

We are preparing to release beta 6 soon, during the transition period which will last a few weeks, some updates will not work for beta 5 users.

You can wait for the beta 6 release, or switch to nightly builds until then.

If you have problems with beta 6, please report them so they can be fixed before the release.

Thank you but I installed beta 6 today anyway and it works.

When is I final beta 6 out I should just update with software updater or haiku depot, please?

You can just continue updating, if you installed from the beta 6 test image, it should be preconfigured to follow beta 6 updates both before and after the release (for bugfixes)
