Normally, on the bottom of your posts, you can click on the pencil icon.
Well, either I stand on the Hose or there is no Pencil Icon on the Bottom of my Posts 
Not sure if this is your first post, but I’ve seen it when I entered the KDE Discuss forum, I had to make some posts/comments or the likes before I was able to edit my own posts. 
Yes, it is one of the anti spam bots measure that is inciting people to spam…
Said like that, it makes no sense but that is actually working quite well.

There is a section somewhere where you can see what the requirements are but it is hard to find…. and the requirements are really vague (I was stuck on some level for months because I did not like enough posts for example) : )
