My bad, sorry.
NIce pictures, clear Camera… what model is it? The cam?
The first picture (portrait) and the last one (Motorbike) were made with smartphone camera. The first one is the Google Pixel 4a.
The other pics were made with Nikon D700.
Looking at things.

I did the mechanical development for that whole display assembly in the middle console. From the top edge of the screen to the silver part.

Collecting, examining and documenting hardware produced and sold by VTech, and trying to write new software for it
But not for Haiku?
It would be interesting to use it as a keyboard to control ummm… stuff.
The console itself will not be able to run Haiku (with 20 kilobytes of RAM).
The various controllers are connected using a simple serial port and now I documented the protocol so… maybe. The joysticks are actually pretty good quality.
Ohmigosh I still have my old V-Smile and would love to see a reverse-engineering of it, but the battery leaked and it’s probably corroded beyond repair now
I set up my Raspberry Pi with Amiberri and have been “modernizing” my virtual Amiga. I never had an Amiga (despite being an Atari person) so it’s quite the learning experience.
I also have Rastari set up and have been having a hoot trying to remember how the Atari STs worked and what NVDI means.
Other than that, I’m getting ready to cut the lawn for the first time this season.
…what about posting it @ Hackaday ?
Receiving pictures from our pups abroad
Amira lives in New-Mexico (US)

Do you have a VTech Helio? I have some (3 Helios and 2 cradles iirc) that I got to mess about with but I doubt I will have time. The full SDK, including OS source, is also available online. The Helio OS looks a lot like some of the other OS stuff they did for other devices too. It looks like this (stock image)

It has something like 8MiB of storage, and some kind of Toshiba RISC processor. The OS is quite like PalmOS but is actually called VT-OS. The documentation is pretty good and the SDK includes a hardware emulator that also emulates the processor. What it lacks is a modern compiler, as the SDK one is a 16bit DOS based version of GCC.
I didn’t know about this device but now I’m tempted to get one!
This site is a treasure trove of old software. I’ve had the compiler running under DOSBox, so it is possible to still use is on a modern OS. You do need long filename support though with is a PITA to get working on DOSBox.
Great, now i also know why you lived in Stuttgart last time
Heard about the news that our first born in our kennel pasted away today

I’m so sorry. We have actually 2 dogs. Last year our 11-year-old Labrador passed away. That’s heavy pain.
Thanks, she would turn 10 next month, still to young, we lost her brother a few years back here at home, her mother and her sister are still with us, she was kind of special to us as the first born from our first litter.
At work I maintained these fences recently, I am happy to have a Job with different tasks especially at this time, I don’t think i would be able to work in IT. :)
