Outside of Haiku I’m working on an unrelated OS project, brewing beer, sometimes doing simple woodworking projects, and hanging out with my wife and puppy.
My band Cargo Cult will appear at a local radio station on July 10, 20:00 CEST. We will be talking, listening to some tracks from our debut album “polychrome” (polychrome | Cargo Cult) and playing a few of our songs live in the studio in stripped down unplugged versions. The talking will be in German (Vorarlberg dialect mostly, so it might be even difficult to understand for German speakers
) but the music might still be interesting to some of you.
The radio station is called Radio Proton and can be listened to via https://radioproton.at
You can even listen to it from within Haiku
The Radio Proton Website does take a bit of time to load with Web+ but it is working. You just have to click on the text “play_arrow” which is displayed instead of the play arrow symbol.
I have not tried any of the other browsers, maybe they work as well or even better.
You can also listen via StreamRadio. The radio browser feature currently does not seem to work, at least here on my R5 system. But you can put the URL https://radioproton.at:8443/proton in your clipboard and use the “paste shoutcast URL” function from the “Station” menu.
Not sure if this is the right place to write…
My beloved mom suddenly passed away two weeks ago.
Please take care of yourselves and cherish your loved ones.
So sorry for you loss @VoloDroid , my deepest condolences to you and your family.
@VoloDroid My condolence! I hope you have nice memories of her.
Having lost mine a few years ago, I share your grief.
It’s always sudden…
Lost both my parents 3 years ago around this time. Still have my job, wife, cats, and birds and Haiku to keep me together.

Update: as of May 9th, I now own an Elmo ST-1200D as my primary and only Super 8 film projector.
For the past 6 months or so, I’ve been teaching myself Latin.
Hmm… I wonder if I could do a Haiku UI translation into Latin.
Good idea. The Vatican would probably use it. And that could open the door to a billion users. God’s own OS.
As far as I know, most stuff in the Vatican is done in Italian these days.
gods own os. meanhwile templeos is literally written in holyc
That said, I’m not sure where I’d start, making an UI translation…
just type translate --into-latin --haiku and reboot (joking)
