NsCDE, in fact, with lightweight apps only.
There is a lot to like in this picture. Raspberry Pi running DietPi, GWM, CDE (which never lost its charm), and LyX (the tried-and-true LaTeX document processor).
I am very much interested to know what kind of Raspberry Pi this is.
A 400. If you look closely you can see it behind the monitor.
Ah yes, I see it. DietPi fooled me, hoping all that is actually running on an earlier model.
I’m building MeshCore nodes to install locally to expand coverage around Venezia and experiment with new communication methods with my friends.
Thanks
I’ll check them out.
There was a post on this some time ago, created a recipe for version NovelWriter 2.5.1 here, works OK, I think @roiredxsoto wanted to have it in the depot, but so far nothing popped up in a PR. ![]()
Outside of Haiku? Mainly play retro games, code, and sometimes write music.
Just took a few pictures trying to see if there was an older KDE mascotte on the SuSE boxes, it was not (KDE is turning 30 this year), fun side there, came accross the box for GoBe Productive 2.0 ![]()
I play chess when I’m free 1500 rated lichess
The MegaSTE, my favorite. It has the best keyboard ever made. ![]()
-is your MegaSTE a 68000 or 68010 ?
It’s a 68000. I hadn’t heard about people putting in a 68010 before. I think I’m okay with sticking with compatibility. Although, there are a couple of upgrades I’m waiting (hoping) to become available that I can try with it.
Mine came with 68010 and I loved it. I disassembled Xenon1, optimized it and ran it at 16 MHz with cache on, then it could run twice the speed and very difficult to complete. ![]()
Unfortunately, Hatari does not emulate the 68010 properly (the emulated MegaSTE crashes in Hatari, so I’ll have to stick with emulating using 68000).
Catching a uninvited guest this morning, lucky not all the dogs were outside, got plenty of exercise for one day!
(waiting for the shelter to pick the little wild boar)
You don’t want to get between that and its mama.
We are glad the “family” there didn’t make it into the yard (or were around), sad news, shelter just came by to pick up the little bugger, didn’t survive the dogs that went after him*.
In slightly happier news, I had another instance where a mother cat left her kitten on my patio for me to find. She wasn’t abandoned, as I watched on camera as the mom took care of the kitten as needed, then went off and left it alone.
I took it to the emergency vet hospital (it was a Sunday) and they said she was chock full o’ fleas and badly anemic. Almost in need of a blood transfusion. They killed off the fleas, gave me some meds for her eyes, and I took her home with a stop at a store to get kitten formula.
She’s just started eating solid food and doing pretty well. Very active, very inquisitive, and if I have to go into the kitchen for something she rides along on my shoulder.
