Hi!
I am on Haiku beta 5 now and I like to change bash shell to mksh. I search in the forum but there is one old link which doesn’t work.
As I remember I need to change in /system/settings/etc/password in line
/boot/home:/bin/bash to new shell
Am I correct, please? But where to put mkshrc?
Thank you.

There is a package “haikuutils” which you can install, in there is a small utility “Users” where you should be able to set the shell, I never used it that way (or changed shell in Terminal), but maybe it can be of help.

I did try to change the shell and it works (it doesn’t allow to change user name) but still where should I put settings for mksh shell?

Not familiar on that part, so maybe someone else has experience with it?

I don’t use mksh and haven’t tried, but from the patch used to build the mksh recipe, it should be ~/config/settings/mkshrc

              Thank you.
I need to search more because I have a problem with prompt.
