Onboard graphics card problem? (Sony VAIO)

Hello everybody. I wanted to try out Haiku on my old hobby computer, which is a Sony VAIO VGN-FZ140E.

As you can see in this picture: http://i.imgur.com/5xoqi.jpg there is quite a problem, and I am not sure what it is. I am assuming it’s a graphics card problem, so is there any current way to fix this issue, or is this computer simply not compatible yet? Thank you ahead of time for any help I receive.

I suspect it’s due to this current ticket:

Once that ticket is resolved, I suspect your display will work just fine.

I had a similar problem with my first attempt of an install but when I switched to a lower spec monitor it worked fine. I think bog standard video drivers are being used and they don’t always support the monitor as well as they might. Try switching monitor.
