No sound and network

Hi Friends, I would like to know if there is any support for RTL8111 / 8168/8411 Pci express ethenert controller and also for the audio driver intel corporation 7 Series / c216 Chipset Familiy

It should be, can you post the output of listdev and listusb that would help. Posting the /var/log/syslog file would also help.

I assume you booted up a Haiku live USB or CD and network and sound didn’t work? If not you might want to just give it a try.

To get the data you can use our system analysis Tool beslysat

Nice, i am also doing real hardware testing and after safe mode i have no sound nor network, so i will use this to get the data

thanks, but there is no way to install any software that does not have access to the internet and it is installed in real hardware … I will post here some images of cpu-x in my linux to show the hardware I am using.

Hello, but on the internet it must have a life of its own … Tomorrow morning it worked … do not ask me how … but I ended up discovering my sound controller. is a 7 series chipset / high definition audio family c216

Some HDA controllers require correct channel mapping which Haiku doesn’t do correctly. However, booting into another OS first, then booting into Haiku leaves the HDA controller with the correct mapping. This is the recommended practice is to warm boot Haiku on these systems (in order to get HDA sound)

Yes…no sound

Did you try installing the OpenSound package? (only available for 32 bit)
