Newbie question - what's the best browser on Haiku?

I wondered what those qt6wayland packages were doing in the same directory

If you miss something using Qmplay2 - that I use often for YT - then try out Falkon browser.
That is more reliable now than Gnome Web - in a general manner.

Download speed is simply terribly slow with Web since the network in Haiku were refactored; I think simply should investigated/recompiled that part that handles network connection … that may fix this issue in Gnome Web.

For all Haiku related stuff I recommend Webpositive - all of them bookmarked into the browser , so available after the installation right away !..

Thank you for the heads up. I’ll definitely try Falkon browser later this evening. Having a modern browser on Haiku would definitely make it more useable for me, not just for YT, but for video conferencing when the need arises although I understand that the current version of Haiku is not quite webcam ready!

There is also Kristall browser which specialises in Gemini capsules.

I’m watching a youtube video on gnome web , right now!
Everything works.

I got gtk-pipe-viewer to work. It’s a great way to browse youtube. Will try to get it on the depot.
