I was wondering… The netstack is getting increasingly more attention lately with some heavy hitters like Axel, Oliver, Philippe (who I always read as Houdini ) and quite a few more focusing on it. Additionally Andrew Galante is paid to work full-time on networking. At the same time thereââ¬â¢s an unclaimed codebounty at haikubounties.org of $700. Why hasnââ¬â¢t Haiku Inc. claimed that money yet?
It could be used as part of Andrew Galante’s compensation or to award crucial contributions of others.
Or, while speaking of Andrew Galante: It looked like he had some problems setting up a working/compatible system at the start. Maybe the codebounty (or the money saved with the bounty) should be used to buy a used compatible notebook that could be sent as an already set-up development system to fulltime developers. That’d get them up to speed faster or enable a dev with incompatible HW to start at all.
