Add several sites to the list of software sites.
If only someone could help me add this…
1)https://qt-haiku.ru/option=com_rokdownloads&view=folder&Itemid=61
2)Software | Haiku Software Archives
HaikuArchives doesn’t offer ready-to-run programmes. Instead, it provides the original code for older BeOS and Haiku applications whose developers are no longer active. This allows others to collaborate on maintaining the software or to take it on as an individual project.
If the software still functions, the team at HaikuPorts creates a recipe for it. This enables the software to be compatible with Haiku’s package management system, meaning that working programmes found on HaikuArchives can be downloaded through HaikuDepot.
where’s the list of software sites that the thread is referring to?
I assume this page.
It looks like that site hasn’t been touched since 2011. We don’t even have QT4 any more.
The software sites mentioned on the Haiku site have all been reviewed, or at least should be. We always have to check to what extent these external sites might offer illegal content.
It’s nice for users if there’s more software available, but not if Haiku gets sued for linked content that contains copyright.
I can only speak for our repository, which we have thoroughly examined, and for the programs and games it contains, we check very carefully for direct permission from the author or the corresponding releasing license.
Indeed pretty old. Also, seeing who was posting news there, I bet that if there was something of interest, it has already landed on Haikuports or LOTE.
