They acknowledge the fact that Haiku exists and it’s already a first step.

Would be great if the Gobe Productive code went open source and was updated to work well on Haiku.
A few years ago we managed to get access to the Gobe Productive code. It was under NDA because it includes some code not written by them, which would need to be removed. It was the code for the later versions that were ported to Windows, using a mix of direct Windows API call and a BeAPI wrapper to have the existing code running on Windows.
There is no hope of porting this to Haiku, or even get it to build for BeOS again.
As far as I know, no one has backups of the older versions that ran for BeOS.
So: forget about it and move on to something else. It is, essentially, lost to history.
