Hello;
I have a serious problem with my Marvell Yukon Ethernet card.
09:00.0 Ethernet controller: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. 88E8040 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller (rev 13)
It goes “No link” without any indication at the middle of a session, sometimes 3 seconds after a fresh system reboot. It doesn’t connect on DHCP and only works with Static setup.
I was advised to run a ping process in the background or put my browser on an auto-loading page. but those seemed a bit awkward as a solution to me.
In linux I set my link as DHCP and in rare occasion I would kill my dhcpcd process and dhcpcd eth0 again. but I don’t know how to manage my network in the terminal in haiku.
The only choice that I have right now is to restart my machine.

Well there are three open bugs about this driver on the bug tracker.

:open_mouth:

FYI I have the same problems with this card (no solutions I’m afraid)

But not all of these network cards do not go. According to the tests by chaotic, the Marvel Yukon Optima 88E8059 (PCIe Gigabit Ethernet Controller with AVB) card is specified as supported.

It can also be at the interplay of different hardware components, so not directly at the ethernet card.

Did you write a bug report? Maybe the driver can be broken by changes.
