Mac with T2 chip

Hi there,

Little community survey.

Who here owns, or has interest in apple devices with the T2 security chip?

These are, acccording to apple:

  • MacBook Pro introduced in 2018 through 2020, excluding MacBook Pro (13-inch, M1, 2020)
  • MacBook Air introduced in 2018 through 2020, excluding MacBook Air (M1, 2020)
  • iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2020) and iMac Pro
  • Mac mini (2018)
  • Mac Pro introduced in 2019

This is to give me an overview of how much testing I can expect for a T2 driver I’ll start developing.

Please only vote if you have a device like this.

sorry for digging up a 2yo dead thread but i’m interested. How did that driver went? i have a mbp 2019 with touchbar. This thing will stop receiving apple updates soon so it would be a good test case. Currently I’m playing with the tabby ppc build so i have a little experience in compiling the OS and I want to start playing with the main release to see if i can make it show something on real hardware, but before i do something i want to know if you made some progress!

Hi there,

I’ve not developed the driver, among other things I no longer have access to a laptop with a T2 chip, so had no way to test it myself.

well, thanks for the reply! i think i will start trying to make it show something on the screen first and from there the driver in stages.. cheers
