I believe build issues are similar: 187701 – [GTK][BUILD] FAILED: lib/libwebkit2gtk-4.0.so.37.31.0 collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status
They are not. You have been warned several time that posting results of vaguely related search results is not helpful, can you please just stop doing that?
Link is not really a problem in itself, but it gives an idea, through configuration and code changes, for those who are interested, to have a base to start and test.
What seems @madmax has already managed to build.
You are throwing links at the couple of people who really don’t need them.
Yes, the link in itself is a problem.
Unless you know for sure, from prior knowledge, that the ticket is the same issue as the one someone talks about do not post links to them.
Otherwise you are just spreading fud and useless confusion.
No, it is sending people in a wrong direction and that will only waste time.
The first link is a reference. Any reasonably intelligent person, looking at the year of the post and the title, are different things. The approach adopted to solve the problem is interesting and makes you think. If there is something that solves the problem, be it a compilation flag or a parameter modification.
You create unnecessary drama, just for a link, not to mention the wear and tear with these conversations, you make anyone lose the desire to post anything or topic.
What is the point of having Ham replace Jam as the 2022 gsoc task?
I believe that @stippi and @dominicm wasted time on the 2022 gsoc. Everything indicates that Haiku will keep Jam, Ham was a waste of time.
If it is due to wrong guidance or a waste of time, your actions are generating results on this path, not any link that I post, as it is not impacting the final result in Haiku.
I am not wrong, you maintain and update the gsoc ideas page on the website. I see a lot of contradictions in what was proposed in 2022 and previous years with Jam and his recent statements. This really does make people waste time and affects Haiku!
“Jam (build system) replacement/rewrite”
We all have access to search engines, you are wasting other peoples time by posting links without context or knowing what’s behind it.
You have been told severall times not to post unsubstantiated links.
Stop doing that. Consider this a moderation warning.
