Keyboard problems

Using the newest Haiku image, keyboard works on linux using qemu, but it does not work when I install it on a hard drive. No key strokes are recognized.
(Keyboard I use in the haiku terminal)

I would recommend you first check the bug tracking system and see if someone else has already reported problems.

If you don’t find anything, I would then recommend you file a bug there with as much information as you can - what type of keyboard (PS2/USB/etc) - what kind of motherboard - if it’s USB, make sure you have it set to emulate a legacy keyboard in the BIOS, etc. - when the last time you recall it working in Haiku (as you insinuated that it just recently broke)…

The bug tracking system probably gets a lot more developer eyes than the forums here. It may be that someone recently modified the input server or something.

I just checked - maybe bug 155 is your problem:

http://haiku-os.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=155

If you can reproduce this problem 100% of the time, you’ll probably want to add a comment to the bug specifying the information I mentioned above. Then you retest whatever future fix is devised.
