I want to contribute my photos as wallpapers.
Haven’t heard of any such plans. It’s the sort of thing that is best left to the community.
Making an HPKG with wallpapers isn’t that hard, I have a few up myself: Misc Haiku utilities and ports - Browse /wallpapers at SourceForge.net
If you like I can package yours up and host them for you.
There is a package for wallpapers from the Haiku community: https://depot.haiku-os.org/#!/pkg/wallpaper_community/haikuports/haikuports_x86_64/0/1/-/-/1/any?bcguid=bc198-OFLG They come from the Haiku Artwork repository.
There is also a package with wallpapers from Unsplash: https://depot.haiku-os.org/#!/pkg/wallpaper_unsplash/haikuports/haikuports_x86_64/0/1/-/-/1/any?bcguid=bc234-JSHS
So if I could add some of my works to these Artwork for Haiku, will they accept?
Probably not, because these wallpapers are all Haiku specific, they have the Haiku logo, the Haiku leaf etc. artwork/wallpapers at master · haiku/artwork · GitHub
If you want you can upload your wallpapers to a git repository and include it in haikuports.
Besides, IMO we already have enough wallpapers to give a users a wide variety of backdrops. If we keep adding images, the package will get ever more bloated. It already has a - to me - unpractical size of ~300 MiB.
